                                                           ABSTRACT
This study investigates assessment of nature of child abuse among market women in Ijebu-Ode local government area of Ogun State. The collected data were analyses through the use of Chi square method of data analysis. Findings revealed that: Street hawking will be a significant nature of child abuse among market women in Ijebu ode local government area of Ogun state. Low academic performance will be a significant nature of child abuse among market women in Ijebu ode local government area of Ogun state. Socio economic status of parents will be a significant nature of child abuse among market women in Ijebu ode local government area of Ogun state .Parent attitude will be a significant nature of child abuse among market women in Ijebu ode local government area of Ogun state. It was recommended that, street hawking government should ban street hawking in all its nature and type in markets in Nigeria and that parent should sensitise on the effect of child abuse.
